![]() ![]() ![]() I think E15 is being sold as 88 octane so that's another thing to look for. I'd bet your Costco sells E10 but check it yourself next time, and check every time at any station to make sure you don't put E15 in your tank and endanger your Subaru warranty. I have yet to see E15 at any pump since hearing that it will be allowed this summer. No more than 10% ethanol for the 2.5L engines, and no more than 15% for the 2.4L (which I have). ![]() Your salesman is correct, at least from what I see in my 2022 Outback manual. Kirkland Signature™ Gasoline complies with this law, and an ethanol content label can be found on the pump." The Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 increased this amount. There is only the question, "Why does Kirkland Signature™ Gasoline contain ethanol?" followed by this answer: "The federal Energy Policy Act of 2005 established the Renewable Fuels Standard, which required that a certain amount of ethanol be used in the nations' fuel supply. I looked at Costco website's "Costco Fuel Q&A," but could not find any information regarding ethanol content. The salesperson added that because of that advisory, he stopped buying his gas at Costco for his personal vehicle - also a 2.5 liter-equipped Subaru. A salesperson at the dealer from which I bought the vehicle told me that Subaru has advised owners of any vehicles equipped that engine not to use gasoline with an ethanol content of more than 10%. Does anyone know the ethanol content of Costco regular unleaded gasoline? Is it the same at all Costcos? ![]()
